Description

Malika means “queen” — and this rug rules with creativity and strength. It was handwoven by two sisters from the village of Azilal, known for their vibrant storytelling through symbols. They created Malika during a summer season filled with rituals, harvests, and weddings — all moments captured in the rug’s bold design.

The layout is architectural, almost like a vertical comic book — each block a different scene. Human figures in orange and black stand tall, flanked by arrows, diamonds, and sacred shapes in forest green, fuchsia, cobalt blue, and amber. Every color is natural, every symbol intentional — a visual language passed through generations of women.

Malika doesn’t follow rules. It creates its own.
